Aprovechando mi corta estadía en Madrid la semana pasada (3 – 7 de Mayo) contacté con Paco Alcázar uno de mis dibujantes favoritos de España, a lo mejor lo conoces por su tira semanal Silvio José en “El Jueves”, y con toda la onda del mundo quedamos a la salida de metro de Callao y se me ocurrió hacer este cómic sobre el encuentro. Lo que más me inspiró es que todos los textos los escribe a mano (y son muchos!) así que lo apliqué en el comic mío también a modo de aprendizaje. Haz un click para verlo en más grande! Hello monday! im starting to scan all the drawings and i made a new drawing this weekend, a special one. It shows how i met Devil robots. It was in Kuala Lumpur and from that moment we became good friends. After meeting them in Tokyo, we kept contact and they introduced me alo to other amazing artists in Asia. before starting this project i posted illustration around the world in a crowdfunding platform called Verkami and i got it. And one of the rewards was a virtual meeting with the fundor in a country in Asia. I this case the meeting is with Miguel Olivares, director of La despensa in Madrid. The meeting is in Taiwan and i hope you like it!

I know Dan Matutina’s work from society6 and asked him long time ago to make a virtual meeting with me and ive posted it on my blog here. After that we kept in contact and when i decided to starr illustration around the world, he said yes! so i was staying at his place for almost one week and i spent christmas with his family in Tacloban city. Actually he is working on his own studio in Manila Plus63 as an illustrator and designer. Thanks so much for the nice days in Manila, dan! hope to meet you again in Berlin.

i think i’ve found Olla Boku’s work on facebook, i don’t remember, but i loved it for the first time i saw it! I contacted her and she said yes,,,but she said also she is shy! at the end we met in Tainan and we had a great day together eating awesome food and talking about many things, Thanks Olla it was really nice to meet you. i knew filter017 before starting this project and i love their work. On the day i met Kisoo he introduces me to Choi Geumsoo, he is running one of the most famous art portal in Korea called Neolook.com, and to Bang Myungjoo, she is photographer/artist. We talked about my project and she took me to her cooking class to meet another illustrator called Hyun-kyun Sun. She is illustrator for children books, we talked about my project but she had to leave soon so she ave me her card and introduced me also to other artist guy! she called him and we said we will meet on 31th october! so this is the introduction how i meet Hyeon in Seoul. And now the meeting itself, i hope you enjoy it.
