Ayutthaya

ayutthaya

In the post of this snowy monday in Berlin i will talk about my short visit to the ancient city of Ayutthaya พระนครศรีอยุธยา located 2 hours by train from Bangkok. See www.railway.co.th for the schedule if you plan to visit. It´s perfect for making a day tour to Ayutthaya to see many temples at the ancient capital of Thailand. I was there just for the day and took the last train to continue to Chiangmai. I rented a bike at the station and left my bacpack at the lockers. I tryed to visit all the temples but the city isn´t so small so it takes time to ride from one temple to another. One of my favourites was Wat Yai Chaimongkol with the Buddhas statues around the temple.

On my way to the next temple i got lost and stopped at one small temple and 2 monks helped me to find the way to Wat Chaiwatthanaram

And i finally found it, Wat Chaiwatthanaram the temple which illustrates this post a magnificent piece of architecture.

I´m not so good with history i just really like to sse how humans change the enviroment creating building that make places very special, so if you already visited Ayutthaya and want leave a comment please do it so!
